While on occasion I like to really take my time and do a more elaborate makeup look, there are definitely occasions that I am either pressed for time or simply don't feel like really being too fussy with my makeup. On those days I like to do a makeup look I call Lips and Lashes, where I do the bare minimum on my eyes and face, mainly just concentrating on my mascara and lipstick. If you don't have time for anything else a bright lipstick can totally brighten up your face and make you look so much more put together. Here's how I do it.
When doing this look you could totally skip eyeshadow completely, or just use a single shadow all over the lid. Quickly lining your waterline and tightline with a black or brown liner helps quickly add definition, but devote the majority of your time to applying mascara. Your lashes will really stand out where the rest of your makeup is so simple and minimalistic. Finish up with a swipe of your favorite bright lipstick.
Pictured are the products I used for today's look: Maybelline The Rocket mascara, L'Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black mascara, Bite Beauty lipstick in Lingonberry
Single shadow used in today's look was from the Bare Minerals Top Shelf Duo (right side), and I used the Anastasia Brow Wiz pencil to fill in any sparse areas in my brows.
For the rest of the face just apply a light layer of a tinted moisturizer or foundation to even your complexion and lightly bronze to bring some life to your face. Sweep some blush on the apples of your cheeks and finish up with a glow-y highlight.

This super simple look only takes about 10 minutes to complete but the end result looks like something you spent some time on. The next time you're in a hurry then maybe you can try your own version of Lips & Lashes!
