Hey guys! Today I thought I would share with you what I got in this month's Birchbox. I have been loving these ever since signing back up 5 or 6 months ago. If you are interested in getting a box of goodies in your mailbox each month, then click on the link here. It's only 10 bucks and you really do get to try out a lot of great stuff. Here's what was in my box this month:
Words cannot describe how happy I was to get a French Vanilla baked highlighter from Laura Geller! I had this a few years ago and used it like nobody's business. After I completely used it up I just never did get back around to buying it again, so I was over the moon when I seen this was in there. As someone with extremely oily skin, I prefer highlights that are not crazy shimmery or glittery. My favorite highlights of life are the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders, this, and WNW Reserve Your Cabana. All of those just give you a luminosity or a glow, with zero shimmer. Complete gorgeousness! The size you get in this box is great as well, this will last for monthsssss. This product alone made this box a slam-dunk winner.
Anastasia is the Rolls Royce of the eyebrow world, and that is all I use. Period. I currently use the Brow Wiz, Dip Brow Pomade, and the Clear Brow Gel. I haven't ever tried her actual pencils for the brow, but I have zero doubt they will be great. This little guy will be perfect for travel, but also just for everyday makeup as well. Love!
I have received products from this line before and it seems like I really liked them. A body scrub is always nice, I have an appreciation for anything that can transform my bath and shower time to a spa-like experience. I haven't used this one yet, but that is just because I have SO many things open that I am using right now. I could definitely see myself trying this out before I self tan!
If you pay attention to subscription services you will notice certain brands often appearing in all of them. Amika is one that I have received in several of my subscriptions and is one that I actually really enjoy. I really, really like their dry shampoo and hair oil that I have received before. This is a blowout spray and I have no doubt it will be great. I haven't used it yet so I will keep you posted. But, generally speaking, I usually really like their stuff.
Again, I really like getting things that are spa-like in anyway. These pads are a one-and-done type product, so while it felt really nice and hydrating, I didn't notice that much of a difference. It is my belief that with any type of skincare product it is going to take repeated, consistent use to see if that product is going to make a difference in your skin. So, while this felt nice and was fun to do, I can't really speak about the efficacy of the product. Something to keep in mind, these pads are kind of heavy, so they definitely work best with you reclining back. I was up walking around and would find them sliding down my face. I ended up just sitting on the couch with my headed tilted back so that they would stay put. I love getting eye masks, I love using eye masks, so I was really happy these were in the box this month.
What did you guys get this month?
