Hey guys! It's so easy to get caught up in everyday life and to focus on getting things done, checking things off your to-do list, running errands, that sort of thing. It's super important to take a step back and spend some time here and there taking care of yourself. Slipping into a hot bath by candlelight has a way of totally relaxing me, all of my cares literally going down the drain with all the pretty bubbles, lol. Here are the things I do when I want to pamper myself and have a Spa Night at my house.
Since I have really long and thick hair, it is just easier for me to wash it in the shower. So, while I am running my bath water I always hop in the shower really quickly and shampoo my hair. I love to put a deep conditioner in my hair and clip it up so it can work while I am in the tub. My favorite is the Carol's Daughter Monoi Repairing Mask, or the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque. All I do in the shower is wash my hair and get my mask in, then I slide into my hot tub of bubbles. Lighting a candle really does add to the spa experience for me, and so do bubble baths and bath bombs.
(On this particular night I used the Macadamia hair mask)
I actually make my own bath bombs and store them in this apothecary jar by my tub. If you are interested in seeing how I make them, you can read more about that here. They are full of essential oils and other skin-loving ingredients, plus they smell delicious as well.
I always add bubbles to my bath as well. My favorite bubble bath is the super affordable Mr. Bubble Original Bubble Bath. On this night I used The Body Shop's Wild Argan Oil Bubbling Bath. It smells so good and leaves your skin really soft.
So, after my water is ran and I have a tub full of bubbles and oils and all that stuff, the first thing I do is wash up and get clean.
After exfoliating I shave my legs. I don't really have a preference when it comes to shaving gel or cream, I basically buy whatever looks good or is on sale. I use a Venus razor in the shower, but I just use a disposable one when I shave in the bathtub. I take bubble baths in spurts, sometimes I go a month or two without taking one, it comes in phases with me. I don't like to leave an expensive razor laying out, and it's super easy to just grab a disposable one and use it, then toss it in the trash.
After I am done with all my work it's time to relax. I sit back against my pillow, turn on the jets, and soak for as long as I want. Feels so good!
I love watching YouTube on my iPad while I bathe!
No bath is complete without a nice cold beverage. Like seriously, why isn't everyone talking about these? SO good. (Yeah, strawberry milk in the tub, I'm fancy like that).

When I get out of the tub, I use my Neutrogena Body Oil (as always), towel off and apply a really good body butter. The Body Shop Vineyard Peach body butter is so delicious, especially this time of year! At the end of my bath I rinse the deep conditioner out of my hair.
After I have soaked in the tub and then I put on a layer of body butter, I love to put on a thick, fluffy robe and let all that goodness just sink into my skin for a few minutes. After sitting in the hot, steamy water for so long this is one of my favorite times to use a pore strip. On this night in particular I was super fancy and whitened my teeth as well!
And after about 15 or 20 minutes or so, I slip into something really soft and comfy for bed. Here lately I have been loving this silky slip-like gown that I got a couple of years ago from Victoria's Secret, paired with a silky floral robe I also got from VS that matches so pretty.
The gown has a sweet lace trim that I love. Wearing gowns to bed makes me feel like a woman. I love pajamas and sleep sets and stuff too, but every now and then this is just really nice.
The back of the gown v's down the same as the front. So pretty and light and airy for the warmer weather!
Hope this gives you some ideas for a pampering night at your home! If you have any questions or if you have any ideas of something I might enjoy adding into my routine, feel free to leave that below!
XO-
