LOTD: Summer Peach

Hey guys!  If you follow me on Instagram you probably seen this photo the other day...

That photo was using the Valencia filter btw...this is how the makeup actually looked in person that day....

My whole look that day was inspired by my beautiful peach hibiscus that is just now blooming in my yard.

My shirt photographed much more orange than it actually is, but I just love this.  It's open on the sides and I wore a light peach tank underneath.
Shirt:  Target
Tank:  Old Navy

As far as the rest of my outfit I just wore some cropped leggings and a pair of black leather Michael Kors sandals I picked up on one of our many trips to Vegas.  I've had these for a couple of years now and I wear them all the time!

I wanted my makeup look to be really light and peachy.  It's already super hot and humid here in Kentucky, so I went super light on the face makeup, and then kinda heavier on the eyes, which is what I usually do.

I have had this for over a year now and every now and then I drag it back out and use it hoping to like it better.  It's just not my favorite and I really don't care for the way my makeup sits on top of my skin when I use this.  Probably going to be passing this along to a new home soon.  That's too bad, I usually love Becca products!

Nars Laguna is so classic, I will always have this bronzer in my collection.  I recently picked up a new one, that will be in an upcoming haul post!

This particular one is in the blush/bronzer duo alongside the cult favorite Orgasm blush.

MAC Peaches blush is a blush I think everybody needs in their collection.  It's especially great for aging skin, as the soft matte formula doesn't accentuate fine lines and pores.  A peach blush is flattering on almost everyone.  Love.

I bought this highlight about 4 years ago when I first became obsessed with YouTube.  Raychel Wade is a professional makeup artist in NYC and one of my favorite YouTubers of all time (she doesn't really make videos anymore).  She used this in several of her tutorials and it was just one of those things I HAD TO HAVE.  This is a beautiful product, and I have always enjoyed it when I use it.  I have been in this huge rut only wanting to use my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders, but I am definitely going to make it a point to use this guy more.

I hate to even mention this because it's yet another one of MAC's excellent limited edition products.  There are plenty of other things you could use to get the same shimmery effect, though.  It may not be exact, but you could definitely get a similar effect using products that are still available.  Makeup Geek's Pigment in Afterglow or even Stila's Kitten eyeshadow would both give a very similar look.  Pressed pigments are so much easier to work with as they don't get everywhere like a loose pigment.  To apply this I always spray a dab of MAC's Fix+ on my ring fingers, then rub my finger on the pigment, then just apply it straight to my lids using my fingertips.

Finding really great matte brown eyeshadows at the drugstore is not as easy as one would think.  This crease shade in the super affordable WnW trio On Cloud Nine is excellent.  I used this in my crease to deepen things up a bit, and then ran it along my lower lash line.

I've been on a High Tea kick lately.  It's just a really pretty easy to wear color, kind of a light beige with a very pretty luminous sheen.

To finish up I used just a dab of Tarte's Lipgloss in Exposed on top.

As always I finished my look with a few mists of the UD De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray!
