New Elf Brushes: Ultimate Kabuki and Sigma F35 Dupe!

Hey guys!  I recently picked up a few brushes that I am totally loving, and I wanted to share them with you today!  They are (obviously) from Elf, which means they are super-duper affordable!  Just like any other brand, Elf has some products/items that are so-so, but then they also have stuff that is unbelievably good, especially for such little $.  The brushes that I picked up are from their studio line, and they are such good quality!  The first one I will mention is their Ultimate Kabuki Brush, which retails for $10..
I bought this for the sole purpose of adding it to my travel makeup brush collection.  More specifically, to use as my travel contour brush.  Here at home I use my Nars Ita brush, but I HATE packing my brushes I use at home in my travel bag.  I don't know, it's just something I hate.  So instead of paying $50 for another Ita brush, I thought this would be a cheaper alternative.  It's not made exactly like the Nars brush or anything, but I could tell immediately when I seen it that I could use it in the same way and could get the same effect.

This thing is MASSIVE!  I knew it was going to be big, but oh my goodness!  I didn't know it was gonna be this big!

The bristles are SO soft on this thing, it literally feels like velvet.  This brush is super good quality, it's just SO big!

Size comparison with the Nars Ita brush.

This thing is like 10x bigger than the Ita brush!

The Elf brush is buttery soft!

Side comparison.

Even though this brush is so massive, I think I can still use it to contour.  I haven't tried it yet, but I think I am going to totally love it.  The key to using this brush will be watching where you dip the brush into contour powders and bronzers, keeping that very minimal, and then using the rest of the brush for just blending.  I totally love this.

The next brush I purchased was the Studio Small Tapered Brush, which retails for $3.  This brush looks SO much like my Sigma F35 Tapered Highlighter brush ($24).

I actually use the F35 to set my under eye concealer and to apply my highlight powders.  I only own one F35 brush, so I am constantly having to wipe it off to reuse it.  I had every intention of purchasing 3 more of them so I would have 4 total.  2 at home (1 for under eye setting powder, 1 for highlight powders) and 2 for my travel brush set (same).  That would have been over $70!  The Elf version of this brush is so much more economical, I was able to get all 3 for $9.  Plus, I had a coupon code and received 20% off my order, so they were even cheaper than that!

Not exact, but sooooo close.  These will work perfectly I think!

If you haven't ever tried Elf brushes, then I highly recommend you do!  I haven't tried all of them, but the ones that I have I absolutely love them.  You will not find a better value anywhere.  I usually order all of mine from their website, but most drugstores carry this brand now as well.  If you have any questions feel free to leave them below.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
