Sephora Haul: Marc Jacobs, Make Up For Ever, Becca, Hourglass

Hey guys!  I am totally loving some new goodies I picked up from Sephora recently!  The items pictured below were 2 separate orders I placed because I had 2 coupon codes I wanted to use, hehe.  This isn't a review, just a haul to show you what I picked up.

Yeah, so I'm obsessed with the Ambient Lighting Powders from Hourglass.  I already had the Diffused Light one (which I totally love), and recently added the gorgeous champagne-y colored Luminous Light to my collection.  If you haven't tried these bad boys then I highly recommend you do, they give such a gorgeous glow.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal.  I swear I heard angels singin' when I opened this little jewel up.  LOVE.

Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation

This foundation is really pretty.  For everyday use I really enjoy the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Foundation, but I am slowly incorporating this one into my makeup routine as well.  Both foundations work very similarly on my skin - good coverage, good staying power, both almost exact color matches for my skin.

I adore both high-end and drugstore makeup, and this purchase was a total splurge for me.  I don't know what it is, but I have only been buying luxury items recently, lol.  I have really slowed down on my makeup purchases, and I am really honing in on only purchasing items that I really, really love.  The Marc Jacobs Lolita palette is no exception.

It comes with a sleek, black pouch to store your palette in.  Such a nice touch in your higher-end makeup palettes.  (Think Dior 5-Colour Eyeshadow Palettes)

If you are interested in one of the Marc Jacobs palettes, I highly recommend the Lolita one.  It has a great, matte highlight shade, a perfect matte brown for blending out the crease, a deep, dark, matte brown to smoke things out, some great lid shades, and one super-duper shimmery shade that is ideal for the center of the lid.  These shadows blend like nobody's business, and when I use this palette I'm secretly like........I'm so fancy, you already know, I'm in the fast lane....

A.  I'd have to go with the obvious, traveling.  We've been a few places this summer so far - Costa Rica, Orlando, Mountain Lake Lodge (Dirty Dancing filming location), etc.  We are taking a road trip in the next week or two to our property in Destin, and we will hit Vegas with the gang within the next couple of months or so.  Love to travel <333

The Beauty Scenario Tag

Q.  You have to get rid of all your foundations except for one high end and one drugstore. What do you keep?

A.  Makeup Forever HD Foundation and Neutrogena Healthy Skin.

Q.  You go in for an interview and the woman interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth do you ignore it or tell her.   

A.  Ooh, that's always so awkward!  Probably ignore it!  That or pass it off nonchalantly, like as we are ending the interview and standing up to shake hands just be like 'oh I think you've got a little something there.' Blow it off and act like it was nothing. 

Q.  You go back in time to your teenage years. How would you do your hair and makeup differently?

A.  Oh my Gawd. I'd do them both 100% different. I would embrace my wild and unruly hair, instead of always fighting it. Wild and wavy, long and loose curls.  As far as makeup goes,  I wish I knew how to properly bronze and contour back in the day, as it adds so much to your makeup look.  I also went thru an incredibly awkward phase with overly arched brows, I would definitely love to go back and change that for sure!

Q.  You go to your stylist and ask for a shoulder length pixie lock haircut but they hear you wrong and give you a pixie cut. Do you:
A) smile and leave and say thank you and go call your mom and cry 

B) cry in the chair and things get awkward

C) complain to the manager and demand a refund

A.  Ooh, that's a tough one.  Hopefully I would notice if they were preparing to chop my hair off, or at the very least catch on after just a clip or two.  But if I didn't, I can't lie, it would probably be B - cry in the chair.  I wouldn't be rude to anyone, but it would be utterly heartbreaking if I ended up with a boy haircut.  I have a feeling it just wouldn't look right on me, and you are talking YEARS growing your hair back out.  I wish I had the face for barely there hair, but I don't.

Q.  Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break.  Which do it all makeup palette do you pack in your bag?

A.  My Z Palette that I am currently working on - it has a little bit of everything in it (eyeshadow, bronzer, blush, etc)

Q.  Your house has been robbed, don't worry everyone is safe but your beauty stash has been raided what is the product you really hope is safe?

A.  Ooh....all of it???  It would be upsetting, but things are things and as long as the people I love are safe, it would actually not be earth-shattering to me.  The products I would worry the most about losing would be anything limited edition or no longer in production.  Stuff that you can't just go out and replace (some MAC lipsticks and pigments that were LE, my Tarte holiday 2013 blush palette, and even my LE Wet n Wild palettes.)

Q.  Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful shape, do you:
A) pretend you haven't noticed it
B) ask them to replace it or
C) secretly do the same thing to theirs

A.  This one is easy, I would definitely choose B - ask them to replace it.  I was taught not to borrow things from other people, so I simply don't do it.  I just think if you really want something, work and buy it.  When someone borrows your stuff it's almost always a hassle, and you end up being the bad guy having to ask for your stuff back, and then it's just weird.  But, if I did let someone borrow something that I worked for and owned and they had the nerve to return it damaged, I wouldn't hesitate to be up front about it and ask for it to be replaced.  Straight up.  If you do borrow something from someone, taking care of that item while it's in your possession is your responsibility.  Period.

BIG Forever 21 Haul!

Hey guys!
