First thing, I always use my bleach trays. Mine were made at the dentist's office especially for my teeth. They pop in and don't move, and they have these little pockets on the front of all my teeth to hold the bleach in. You just dot the bleach around in the tray, pop it in, then when you're done just rinse (your mouth and tray) and voila! You are done. Some of the prescription bleach I got from the dentist I would sleep with it in my trays. I think it was like a 15%? I have bought several kinds of bleach online: Venus White, Whitening Lightening, etc. Right now I am using the Whitening Lightening and I really like it. It doesn't make my teeth too sensitive and it seems to work well. You get an LED light with it, and where the percentage of bleach is higher in their solution, you only use it for 20 minutes. Much quicker and easier than sleeping in the trays. You are suppose to put the gel directly on your teeth and then use the light with Whitening Lightening, but I use my trays. It's just cleaner and what I like. Works fine.
Some of my bleaching stuff. Any syringes of bleach I keep in the refrigerator, as it keeps it's potency better in there. A cheap drugstore bleach? This 5 minute bleach stuff. I use it the same way, in my trays with the light.

Alright guys, hope that gave you some ideas with what to do with your teeth whitening regimen. I BY FAR do not have the whitest teeth in the world, I would like them much whiter. They probably would be if I didn't drink so much coffee and tea, and if I did it more frequently. I usually bleach every 4-8 weeks or so. I've included a picture of me showing what my teeth look like. You'll have to look hard, as I have small teeth. Again, no app to whiten, lol.
Like I said, definitely not the whitest teeth in the world. They look whiter with a spray tan, that's for sure. Anyways, let me know what you guys use and thanks for stopping by. Come back soon! Muaahh!
Bleach is totally safe as long as it is done in moderation. I do not recommend using the bleach (no matter what brand) anymore than every 2 weeks. Too much of a good thing is not good and your teeth will tell you when to lay off for awhile. Slight sensitivity is normal but if taking a drink of cold water makes you cringe, it's time to take a break. However, if you have sensitive teeth already, this will add fuel to the fire. But if you can get a prescription of Prevident 5000 fluoride gel from your dentist and use it right after bleaching, this will counteract the sensitivity effects of the bleach. And also provide cavity protection at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI use the Prevident! I got it from Jolly, and it really seems to help. I bleach about every 4-8 weeks, just depends on how lazy I am. That seems to be plenty for me, but yes, my teeth are sensitive all the time.
DeleteThe teeth whitening tips shared by you are one of the best I have come across. As you go for teeth whitening, you must make sure that you are following the most advanced and effective teeth whitening technique. You must not fall prey to tray or strip methods, which is also not favorable for busy individuals.
